Who We Are

Making desserts for family meals, cookies to snack on or soft warm breads has been a part of my life since childhood. Of course looking back at those early culinary experiences brings everything from smiles to out-and-out laughter. That really shows how blessed I have been with terrific family and friends who have bravely taste tested my creations...some keepers, some definitely not! It's funny, the cookies they lived to tell about are remembered most of all.
My creations resulted in requests for encores, encouraging in me a love for baking. Taste testers, such as my husband Bill and our son Sam were always available. Others politely obliged by being in the right place at the right time -- or not. They might have been blessed, then again the blessing might have been the ability to politely refuse second helpings.
Folks at church are great taste testers too, with honest opinions. But the taste testers I am most proud to have on board are Sam's new friends. Sam became a United States Marine on May 31, 2013 Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego. Marines are glad to have homemade cookies and, yes, they do actually help by letting me know what they think and eagerly look forward to cookie arrivals and more great taste testing for me.
